Located within Ao Phang Nga National Park in Phang Nga Province, James Bond Island, also known as Koh Tapu, is home to an astonishing, nail-shaped formation that seems to pierce the sea. This mesmerizing feature has been shaped by natural erosion over millions of years, making it a true testament to the power and beauty of nature.

Nestled within the enchanting Ao Phang Nga National Park in Phang Nga Province, James Bond Island, is just a 15-minute boat ride away from Koh Pan Yi with the entrance fee of only 60 baht per person. Marvel at the breathtaking beauty of the nail-shaped Koh Tapu from a distance, whether it be from the boat or the hills of the neighboring Koh Ping Ghan.

For the sake of safety and preservation, only small boats are permitted around the island.

We will get to see the beautiful cracks of the mountains leaning against each other. What’s impressive is that these cracks are smooth from the top of the mountain to the bottom, as if someone cut through them with a knife. However, the two mountains have not yet separated from each other, making it another wonder that must be seen in person.

There is a viewpoint where you can go up and take pictures. We will get to see the breathtaking views of the sky and the sea blending together. This is a beautiful viewpoint of Ko Tapu where you can sit and chill, walk around through the positive atmosphere on the sandbar. Photography enthusiasts can take stunning pictures here.

Not far from James Bond Island, there are many small islands to visit, such as Ko Panyi, Ko Hong, Ko Pan Yi, Khao Ma Ju, Ko Yao, and Samet Nang She.

If you have booked a tour, don’t forget to visit these nearby islands as well. Especially Ko Pan Yi, which is a real floating village with people living in houses, schools, shops, and even a floating football field. There are delicious restaurants to fill your stomach before continuing your journey. This is a spot to stroll and play in addition to Ko Tapu. For James Bond Island, Khao Phing Kan, and the nearby islands we mentioned, you can visit them all year round. But the best time to visit with beautiful sun angles is from October to March.
